Entropy ParaDice
Students pick up one die of each color as they enter the classroom and take them to their desks. The instructor then leads them through a set of interactive exercises and "clicker" questions. Curriculum Notes
This demo is usually used during the third quarter of general chemistry as we begin the unit on thermodynamics.
Lead Time
Three days of lead time is required for this project.
Materials
Up to 300 sets of:
- one red six-sided die
- one white six-sided die
- metal case
- student worksheet
